Mexico City, April 17th, 2017. Interjet, the high-efficiency airline in Mexico, received the first of three Airbus A320neo leased by AerCap during a delivery ceremony at Airbus headquarters in Toulouse, France, attended by executives Of the airline, AerCap, CFM and Airbus. The new Interjet A320neo is configured with 150 seats retaining the hallmark of the brand by offering a space between seats of 86 cm. This aircraft is the first in Mexico with CFM International LEAP-1A engines and comes equipped with large aerodynamic devices at the wing tip, known as Sharklets. Together they offer more than 15 percent in fuel economy, environmental performance with 5 thousand tons less CO2 emissions per plane and about 50 percent in noise reduction compared to previous generation aircraft.
